Global Award Winning Wedding Photographer
From Behind The Lens...
I have three little words for you "Interaction, Reaction, Emotion". Allow me to explain...
First up, huge congrats and It’s great to have you here. I hope you enjoy reviewing what can only be described as my “Life´s Passion”.
I was born in Scotland, 1968 and at age 11 received my first professional grade camera. From this point on, “Hooked” does not begin to explain the passion that I developed for photographic art. Shooting my first paid wedding at just 18 years of age, I soon realized that this was my future but never for one minute realized it would be the ride of a lifetime taking me to photograph weddings around the world.
After my formal photographic education, I immersed myself into the artistic and photo journalistic elements of the art to combine them into a style that ensures a full image report of your wedding day, from details to location, treasured moments, interactions, reactions and emotions alongside artistic portraiture.
This style today takes me around the world photographing weddings for international clients from London, New York, Montreal, Toronto, Santiago, Buenos Aires, Los Angeles, Hawaii and beyond but always brings me home to Bonnie Scotland.
Ranked 32nd in the World & 24th in the USA, as a Global Wedding Industry Expert.
Timeless, Moments Professionally captured
Interaction, Reaction, Emotion.
My goal is to discover the little details within the dynamic of each wedding, which makes each of them so unique, and ensures the Bride and Groom and their families receive a detailed photographic report of their special day. This is my responsibility.
I truly feel I am blessed with the best job in the world, constantly working around love and happiness, champagne and cake. An image containing the elements of my three magic words are always the goal. These are timeless and priceless images for couples and future generation showing the true emotion of your day.
I would love to connect with you and hear all about your wedding and what your dream photographs consist of. Remember, on your wedding day, anything is possible. It’s your day, the more information you give me, the better equipped I am to photograph your big day...... so lets do it!
Kindest Regards & Congratulations!
What happens if my photographer is sick on the day of the wedding?
I personally work with two other professional photographers of my own caliber and experience to ensure between us we always have one person not booked on a wedding to be able to stand in given any emergency. We feel this is our obligation as professionals.
It would take a lot for me personally to not attend. I have photographed weddings with a broken ankle and a broken collar bone! I once flew from Chile to Aruba three days after emergency surgery, to photograph a wedding. As well as conduct underwater videography for a couple from USA!
As I say.... would take a lot for me not to be there!
I/we do not like being in front of the camera, what do we do?
Never worry, that's a huge part of my job is to relax you and get you feeling like yourself so the photographs reflect you guys as a couple.
Together, we keep it relaxed and can make this images as formal or as informal as you wish. If you are having a good time, then it's so easy to be photographed.
I work candidly in a large part of the day so you won't feel as if I am in your face at all. Feel free to contact any of my previous clients (Facebook) and ask about their experience working with me.
What happens if the weather stops us using outside for photographs?
Given our ever changing weather I always suggest couples select a venue that facilitates this as a plan B option. Often venues have a side room or shall accommodate this eventuality.
As a photographer I am always with this consideration and advise you so speak to your venue. To ensure they can allocate a sufficient space to hold immediate family and wedding party for all the formal images to be taken.
How do I know which photography package to pick for my day?
Always, we should talk. Every couple have their own individual requirements and requests and it is often difficult for them to know how this fits into a wedding day timeline.
Part of my job is to use my experience and guide you to the package that ticks all the boxes for the period of the day you wish photography. 100% I do not up sell you to something beyond what you need.
Do you Photoshop out things I don't like about myself?
As a professional I must follow a code of ethics given that wedding photography is primarily photojournalism (reporting reality).
Photographs taken as portrait can be subject to certain processes such as skin repair and blemish removal etc but larger scale physical cosmetic enhancement is out with my ethical code of conduct.
All images are edited before delivery to ensure it best reflects the moment as it was on the day.
Still Have Questions...?
For anything please always feel free to contact me and I shall always answer your questions based on my experience and best intentions for your big day, always happy to help.
