Well, where do I start with the story of this session. Paloma and Andres are my clients and now friends from 9 months ago when I shot their truely beautifull wedding in Pirque, just south of Santiago de Chile and their Engagement session in Vina del Mar. After several communications regarding a Trash the Dress idea and again after seeing them at last weeks wedding of Carolina and Ignacio (their good friends and work mates) the 6th of Sept 2011 was carved in stone as out date for Trashing the dress.
Since these two are big fans of skiing it was a sure bet we were taking a drive of about 220km up to the resort of Portillo, Los Andes. STUNNING.
We started the day off with some general skiing but with somewhat different clothing lol as you will see inthe fotos and short video below.
This was an extreeeeeeemly challenging photo session, not just because of the cold and the wind and the extreme bright white reflected light everywhere, but the wind made it impossible to use a reflector and navigating on and off the slopes with a full ri of camera equipment aint so easy, but, IT's SURE LOADS OF FUN.
I was also quite surprized that the mountains are so high at this point that they force the sunset to be 2 hours ahead of non mountain locations locally, this was a huge consideration for planning the chronology for this event.
Hope you enjoy these few samples and take 5 mins to enjoy the little video and see some of the wonderfull locations Chile has to offer for this type of photography.
